 (“Mylapore” Festival of Tamizh Tradition & Culture for School Children)

Kindly read the Rules & Regulations of the Event furnished below
Thoroughly & Completely and abide by the same.
Those who do not adhere to the Norms of the Event will not be entertained.

*TRADITIONAL ATTIRE (Dress Code of the Foundation mentioned below) is COMPULSORY for all Participants during the COMPETITIONS.

(Participants & Parents)
Boys: – Only Kurtha, Pyjama (No Fancy Pants, Jeans, Cargos, T. Shirt, Dhoti, Shirt)
Girls: – Paavaadai, Chokka (No Sleeveless Chokka / Blouse for Girls)
Men: – Kurtha, Pyjama, Dhoti, Pant, Shirt (No Fancy Jeans, Cargos, T. Shirt)
Women: – Only in Saree (No Sleeveless Chokka / Blouse for Women)
Common for all Girls – Hair Style: Single Plait (No loose hair). No Fancy Bindhis.
Pottu – Only in Red Colour / Min. Size: 8mm Round or Thilakam.

Other Levels: –
Sub. Junior: – Sec. A – UKG, I Std. & Sub. Junior: – Sec. B – II, III Std.
Junior: – Sec. A – IV, V Std. & Junior: – Sec. B – VI, VII Std.
Senior: – Sec. A – VIII, IX Std.

Registrations from 25th July to 10th August, 2020.

Registration Fee:

Kids Level: (Pre.Kg, LKG) - 3 Competitions.
Category 1 – Performing Arts:- Bhakthi Paadal.
Category 2 – Fine Arts:- Kaivinai Porul.
Category 3 – Academic Arts:- Maaruvedam.
·         A Registration Fee of Rs. 75/- is charged for each Competition.

Other Levels: (UKG to IX Std.) - 10 Competitions.

Category 1 – Performing Arts:- Naattupura Nadanam, Bhakthi Paadal, Bharatiyar Paadal, Vaadhya Isai.
Category 2 – Fine Arts:- Vanna Podi Kolam, Oviyam, Kaivinai Porul.
Category 3 – Academic Arts:- Petchu Potti, Kadhai Kadhaiyaam, Maaruvedam.
·         A Registration Fee of Rs. 75/- is charged for each Competition.

MINIMUM OF 2 COMPETITIONS (MANDATORY) - A PARTICIPANT MUST REGISTER & TAKE PART IN MINIMUM OF 2 COMPETITIONS (COMPULSORY).
(Not Applicable for KIDS Level)

ONCE REGISTERED FOR A COMPETITION, IT WILL NOT BE CHANGED / ALTERED / CANCELLED / REFUNDED.

Nature of the ONLINE Competitions :

Recorded - Performing Arts Category & Academic Arts Category

Participants must Record their respective Art Forms, strictly adhering to the Dress Code & TIME Limit and send us to the E-Mail ID given.

Live - Fine Arts Category

Participants must execute the Art Forms Live. Must strictly adhere to the Dress Code & Log-in Time and Complete within the Time Limit of the respective Competition.

The Nature of the Festival - Online Competitions in Tamizh

Competition Dates: 14th, 15th, 16th August, 2020.
(Subject to change due to unavoidable circumstances)


Kids Level: (Pre.Kg, LKG) - 3 Competitions.

Category 1 – Performing Arts:- (Recorded Performance)

Bhakthi Paadal – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)
Devotional Light Classical Song of your choice / Must Sing without script.
No Prompting.

Category 2 – Fine Arts:- (Live Performance)
On Friday, 14th August, 2020. Time: 5.00pm to 5.30pm – Log-in Time: 4.30pm
Kaivinai Porul (Clay Modelling) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 30mins.
Use only China Clay. Minimum 1 item must be made within the given time.
No pre-fabricated materials allowed, No Prompting.

Category 3 – Academic Arts:- (Recorded Performance)
E-Mail must reach us between 14th Aug. & 16th Aug. 2020
Maaruvedam (Fancy Dress) (Speak in Tamizh) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. 
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu".
Props allowed, No Backdrops, No Prompting.

Other Levels: (UKG to IX Std.) - 10 Competitions.

Category 1 – Performing Arts:- (All 4 Competitions are Recorded Performances)

Naattupura Nadanam – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)
Authentic Costume, Jewellery and Make-up mandatory. No Salangai.
No Prompting.

Bhakthi Paadal – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)
Devotional Light Classical Song of your choice / Must Sing without script.
No Prompting.

Bharatiyar Paadal – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)
Any Song of your choice / Must Sing without script.
No Prompting.

Participants must Sing with Sruti for All Vocal Music Competitions.
No Instruments for Thalam (Cymbals, Jalra, Chiplakattai etc.)
Vaadhya Isai – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins. (1Tamizh Song only)
Any Instrument - Devotional Light Classical Song of your choice.
No Prompting.

Category 2 – Fine Arts:- (All 3 Competitions are Live Performances)

Vanna Podi Kolam (Use Colour Powders) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 1Hr.
On Saturday, 15th August, 2020.
Time: 10.00am to 11.00am – Log-in Time: 9.30am
Size 2ft X 2ft Box. No Stencils, only free hand  for drawing & colouring.
No Prompting.

Oviyam (Painting) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 1Hr.
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu".
On Saturday, 15th August, 2020.
Time: 4.00pm to 5.00pm – Log-in Time: 3.30pm
Chart Size A4 = 21cm x 29.7cm.
Can use Colour Pencils / Crayons / Water & Poster Colours / Oil Pastel / Sketch Pens.
No Prompting.

Kaivinai Porul (Craft Work) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 1Hr.
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu".
On Sunday, 16th August, 2020.
Time: 10.00am to 11.00am – Log-in Time: 9.30am
Can use any Material / Medium.
Minimum 1 item must be made within the given time. No pre-fabricated materials.
No Prompting.

Category 3 – Academic Arts:- (All 3 Competitions are Recorded Performances)
E-Mail must reach us between 14th Aug. & 16th Aug. 2020

Petchu Potti (Oratory) (Tamizh) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins.
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu". Recite
Must Speak without looking at Script. No Props.
No Prompting.

Kadhai Kadhaiyaam (Story Telling) (Tamizh) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins.
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu".
Must Speak without looking at Script. No Props.
No Prompting.

Maaruvedam (Fancy Dress) (Tamizh) – (Reg.Fee-Rs.75/-) Max. 3mins.
Topic - "Aadiyin Sirappu".
Must Deliver without looking at Script. Props allowed, No Backdrops.
No Prompting.

Common Theme:– *"Aadiyin Sirappu".
For the Competitions – Oviyam, Kaivinai Porul, Petchu Potti, Kadhai Kadhaiyaam, Maaruvedam.
*Key - Significance of the Tamizh Month of Aadi - Mythology & Legends, Rituals & Festivals, Customs & Conventions, Food & Lifestyle.


Important Instructions 
   
·         *TRADITIONAL ATTIRE (Dress Code of the Foundation Mentioned Above) is COMPULSORY for ALL PARTICIPANTS and must Strictly Adhered to, during the COMPETITIONS.
·         Admission Reserved - Registration at the discretion of the Foundation.
·         Each Participant will be Allotted a ROLL NUMBER and the Participant must wear a Badge by Visibly Indicating their Respective ROLL NUMBER During the Competitions (Both Live and Recorded).
·         Participants must be ready with all the required materials during the Log-in Time.
·        Log-in Time is 30mins. before each session and must be strictly adhered to.
·         Participants must adhere to the Allotted Time of the respective Competition.
Extra Time will not be given to the Participants.
·         Except the Participant, No Other Person must be visible on the Wide Camera Frame.
·         Participants must not be prompted & disturbed by Parents & Others.
·         Camera Frame must be wide and the Participant must not move out of the Frame till completion, for any reason what so ever.
·         Once logged-in, Camera must not be turned Off.
Microphone (Mic.) must not be Muted till the end.
·         Parents must ensure that the Recorded performance be with Utmost Clarity, both in Audio and Video without any Disturbance, Interruption, Technical faults. 
·         Parents must ensure that the Live Stream is with Utmost Clarity & Not Disturbed / Interrupted / Blacked Out / Disconnected due to technical faults.
·         Participants must show the Props and Materials to the Organisers before the commencement of the Live Competition and Finished Product at the end of the session.
·         Judge's decision is Final and Irrevocable; shall not be challenged in any forum.
·         Only those who participated in the 1st SAKV Competitions will receive E-Certificate and ABSENTEES are not eligible.
·         Participants must check Our Blog on the below mentioned Date for their Roll Numbers.
·         Participants must check Our Blog on the below mentioned Date for their Results of the Competitions.

Certificate for Kids Level /  Other Levels
Certificate to ALL Participants
A Single Comprehensive E-Certificate would be given to ALL Participants mentioning their level of Prize / Participation.

    She wants participation in your drawing & clay art contest. So I want to know if she can participate in this contest waiting for your reply.
