The Mylapore Trio, Secretary - Sugathan
and Members of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation conducted
the 139th Kala Poshkam on 23rd August at Narada Gana Sabha. It is a Free
Platform offered to all artists of Chennai and Tamilnadu. Prof. C.V.
Chandrasekhar and Ms. Leela Samson of Kalakshetra were the special
guests. It was a sort of homecoming for them to meet at the Trio after
many years.They praised the earnest of the Mylapore Trio in promoting
Cultural Values in their own way from their hard earned resources
without sponsorship and wished them all success in their endeavour. The
guests also commended the artist Ms. Sri Sudarshini who was the first
performer of the evening , who rendered a solo Bharatanatyam rendered
recital to a live orchestra.
The second slot was a Bharathanatyam group performance by disciples of Smt. Purnima Sriraman of Sri Chandra Mudra dance school.
The artists were presented with “Certificate of Appreciation” by the Trio and Sugathan.
