Trio", was decorated and honoured with the "PUDHUMAI PENN" Award
on Friday 5th August 2022, held at Tanishq Showroom Cathedral Road Branch. The
Award carries a Citation & a Silver Medal. She was one among the Twelve Women
from various spectrums selected for the Award from among Ten Thousand Nominations
across Tamilnadu.
Aparna,
a born Mylaporean and a Chartered Accountant by Profession. Presently employed
with one of the largest Private Sector Bank.
She
along with her Brothers was fortunate and blessed to have been brought up by their
Foster Parents Smt. Sumukhi & Shri. Rajasekharan (who were Philanthropists
of yester years in Mylapore), who had inculcated History, Tradition and
Cultural Values. Aparna and her Brothers are well known as “Mylapore Trio” as
they run a non-profitable cultural organisation “Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan
Memorial Foundation”. They are pioneers in many Cultural aspects and
activities. Their innovative Pooja Workshops and House & Temple Thematic Golus
are very famous since 3 decades and are highly innovative and exceptional.

has been a Topper and a Rank Holder in Academics throughout; she owes her
gratitude to her Alma-matar Kalakshetra (School Education), Queen Mary’s College
(Higher Education) and Lovelock & Lewes (CA). At Kalakshetra, She also learnt
Bharatanatyam & Carnatic Music for nearly a decade. She Excelled in Sports
at the State Level both in School & College.

appreciation for her outstanding performance and technical knowledge. She is

organisation without any Sponsorship. They started this Organisation in their
Foster Parents name as a Token of Gratitude. Inculcating Tradition & Culture
to the Younger generation is the aim of this organisation.
She
is Cultural, Traditional, Spiritual & Religious. She greatly involves
herself in doing all Poojas at home with utmost sincerity and involvement doing
apt Prasadhams.
Her
Houseful Thematic Golu is famous Worldwide for more than Three decades. She is
also famous for Magnificent Thematic Mega Golus in World famous Temples at
Mylapore, Triplicane, Madurai, Srirangam, Sriperumbudur. She has been the Judge
for Golu competitions for a decade.
She
has also been invited as a Judge and Chief Guest for many Cultural Events
conducted by other Organisations.

Mylapore Trio” do a lot of innovative value based Cultural Programmes to
inculcate Traditional & Cultural values to the next generation. Innumerable
