“Adhikara Nandhi” Eve Dance Organised by The Mylapore Trio - 10/3/2022
The
Mylapore Trio organised the 9th year programme in front of Silver
Adhikara Nandi Vahanam on Thursday, 10th March
2022. Famous Adhikaara Nandhi Festival of Lord Kapaleeswarar is celebrated in
Mylapore on the Third Day of the Annual Brahmotsavam. Every year, a
Special Pooja is organized on the previous day night to “Adhikaara Nandhi” by
the “Thandarai Vaidhyar” Family – The Donors of the Silver Kavacham of the
Adhikaara Nandhi Vahanam in the year 1917. This Family has been closely associated with
The Mylapore Trio’s (Amarnath, Surendranath, Aparna) Foster Parents Late.
Smt.Sumukhi, Shri.Rajasekharan & Grand Mother Smt.Nagammal for Many
Generations.
Hence
a Rare and Exclusive opportunity is offered to Sugathan to perform on this
auspicious occasion every year. Hehas been performing for the past 8 years.
This year too he danced for the
famous Song “Kaana Kankodi Vendum… Adhikaara Nandhi Sevaithanai” and “Naagendra
Aaharaya” in a very vibrant and grand manner immensely soaked in Bhakthi with
his body, mind and soul into it.
This is the 8th year
he is performing in front of this Silver Adhikaara Nandhi Vahana with
dedication and piety. The audience were spellbound and gave a thumping applause
to his dance as a Blessing.

20th year "Margazhi Bala Utsavam" Celebrated by The Mylapore Trio
The Mylapore Trio, Sugathan and Members of
Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation conducted the 20th year
"Margzhi Bala Utsavam" and the 19th Foundation Anniversary
recently. 25 Competitions were held via Online in Three categories viz.,
Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Academic Arts. Children from India and USA
participated and Prizes and Special were announced on 15th February
2022 on the Anniversary Day.
To Commemorate the Occasion Thygaraja Aradhana
was Celebrated by rendering Pancharatna Kritis at ‘SRI SUMUKHAM” HALL at the
New Residence of The Mylapore Trio situated in R.A Puram. All the Members presented
themselves in Traditional Attire and a sumptuous dinner of Chitraannam and
sweets were distributed as Prasaadham.
The First "Margazhi Bala Utsavam"
was conducted on 25th December 2002 by the Mylapore Trio. It was a
new, unique and a different concept two decades back. At that point of time
only stalwarts were given a platform and others had little opportunity. The
Mylapore Trio‘s Brain Child was the MBU which, for the First Time promoted
Children (Unsung Heroes) on stage based on their talent without any barrier.
Children of different age groups from pre-kg to College level were brought to
Limelight.
