The “Mylapore Trio” – Amarnath, Surendranath, Aparna, Secretary - Sugathan and Members of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation conducted the 160th “Kala Poshakam” - Monthly Concerts on Monday, 27th May, 2019 at Narada Gana Sabha, Mini Hall, Chennai. It is a Free Platform offered to all Artists of Chennai and all over India.
The programme started with a Solo Carnatic Instrumental Music - Veena by Smt. Jayalakshmi Shekar, accompanied om Mridangam by Sherthalai Shri. Ananthakrishnan and Trichy Shri. Murali on Ghatam. She exhibited her versatility in performing different genres in the divine instrument Veena, which was really ‘Music to the Ears’.
This was followed with a Solo Carnatic Music - Vocal by Smt. Swetha Sriram, from Chennai a Disciple of Guru Smt. Bombay Jayashri. Accompanied by Thirumarugal Shri. Dinesh Kumar on Violin, Srivanchiam Shri. Sriram on Mridangam.
Both the Artists were honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Foundation.
